267 - Is He Worthy?
A divorce about four and a half years ago pulled Dave into a long custody battle. His two children were moved 90 miles away without his knowledge, and he won them back only a month before the interview. Devastated during that time, he became a relationship coach. Thinking of his 10-year-old daughter, he wrote a book to help people avoid bad relationships.
The WORTHY Framework
Dave adapted a WWII-era unemotional assessment method to dating. Users first list what they want in a partner, ranking each trait 1 to 5 (5 = non-negotiable), and get a match percentage. Then they answer six questions, each scored 1 to 5:
- Worthiness: Is he essential to your life and relationship goals?
- Obstacle: How hard would it be to remove him from your life?
- Recoverability: How quickly could you recover?
- Thoughtfulness: Has it been good for heart, mind, body, and soul?
- Heart: Are your deeper and surface needs being met?
- Y: What do friends and family think?
Results are above average, average, or below average, with suggestions. Dave says only 25% of relationships are above average.
Disability and Inclusion
Dave admits he has no disability background but believes emotions and the need for love are universal. The tool targets women for now, with versions for all relationships planned once funding allows.

- "Love is for the brave." Put yourself out there and never give up.
